Wayne O'Connor
Wayne O'Connor is a Sligo based artist whose work is chiefly inspired by his love of Myth, Fantasy and Folklore. Working primarily as a Digital artist, Wayne has had his work featured in several games and books. He is also a storyteller and arts educator, working regularly in libraries and schools around the country.
About Wayne’s workshops...
Wayne’s workshops will be based on Dungeons & Dragons in which the group shall join together in the world-renowned storytelling game of adventure set in a fantasy world of monsters, magic and adventure. Guided by Wayne, the player’s decisions determine the direction of the story and its outcome. The game encourages communication, teamwork, problem solving and creative thinking. But all wrapped up in an exciting and fun workshop session developing storylines, honing scripts and developing writing skills.
Jessamine O’Connor
Jessamine O’Connor is an award-winning writer living on the Roscommon Sligo border. Her poetry is widely published in Ireland as well as the UK, US, and elsewhere. She has six poetry chapbooks and her debut collection was published by Salmon Poetry. Jessamine is an experienced facilitator of eclectic arts events, writing workshops and courses, and word-game tournaments. She is an editor with Drunk Muse Press and the Poet’s Republic journal.

Express yourself through poetry, short fiction or even true stories. Explore writing as a way to respond to the world. Jessamine’s workshops will be about trying new things. Whether it’s new writers, poetic forms, or styles of prose, participants will be encouraged to find their own voice and write what matters to them.
